A mum has revealed how her side-hustle earns her an extra £1k a month and boasts that her products 'sell themselves'.
Baker Reshmi Bennett, turned passion into profit by selling eBooks and online recipe downloads.
Reshmi, 40, from Farnham, Surrey from has shared her own recipe for success, as the bakery owner now earns around £1,000 a month alone from self-publishing and online sales.
The entrepreneur and mother-of-one is the owner of Anges De Sucre, an online bakery offering elaborate, bespoke cakes fit for all occasions, including birthdays, weddings, gender reveal events and Alice in Wonderland-themed parties.
Reshmi's venture into self-publishing was entirely by chance - during the pandemic, she wrote and designed a book for her son Xavier, who had just turned four, about them making blueberry muffins together

Speaking to The Telegraph, she said: 'The book was already designed so it was just a case of printing more.
'But I still had to package them all and send them out - which was not passive enough for me.
'I want to do the least amount of work with the highest payout.'
In May 2023, Bennett took the plunge and uploaded Xavier and his Magical Blueberry Muffins book onto Amazon as part of her StoryBakes collection, which is now comprised of five books in total.
She has released an eBook version, which is sold for £4.50 - of which she earns £2.90 - and for every £7.99 paperback that Amazon prints and sends, Bennett is paid £1.54.
While it takes about two months to finalise each book, including teaming up with an illustrator, once it's uploaded onto Amazon, the product 'sells itself,' according to Bennett.

Bennett has also created a StoryBakes website that she sells the books directly through, while also offering downloadable recipes for sponge cake and cookies on her bakery's website
She added: 'Amazon takes a big chunk of sales but what's left goes straight in my pocket, often without us realising.'
Bennett has also created a StoryBakes website that she sells the books directly through, while also offering downloadable recipes for sponge cake and cookies on her bakery's website for £6.50 each.
Managing the sales of the books may be minimal, but the mother admits that a significant amount of effort is needs to be put in to get the wheels rolling.
Reshmi initially releases the online copies as a physical book sold on her website, which she promotes through her bakery's social media, school visits and other press activity, before uploading them on Amazon for more passive earnings.
She now creates and tests out recipes part of her day job and works on the books in her spare time.
Meanwhile, a single mum from Victoria, Australia, has revealed an easy way 'broke and lazy' people can start earning $250,000 from a side hustle.
